About me

Jessica Benenati, LPC
I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 15 years of experience in private practice, working with adults facing a wide range of challenges. I have particular experience supporting clients through anxiety, trauma, and navigating neurodivergence, but I welcome individuals with all kinds of concerns—each story is unique, and I tailor my approach to fit your needs.

My style is warm, validating, and intuitive. I often hear from clients that they feel genuinely seen and understood in our work together. I use tools from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness practices, and neuroscience-informed psychoeducation to help clients better understand their behaviors and emotions, and to build skills that support lasting change.

My own path to becoming a therapist began with personal experiences of trauma growing up, which deepened my empathy and sparked a lifelong commitment to helping others heal. I’m especially attuned to the ways we cope—often in ways that no longer serve us—and I work collaboratively with clients to uncover what’s underneath, and how to move forward with more clarity and self-compassion.

Outside the therapy room, I love hiking, strength training, painting, and spending time with family. I’m fascinated by the mind-body connection and the power of our thoughts—not just to change how we feel, but to shape the lives we live.

I believe healing is possible, and that you already hold the power to change. My role is to walk beside you as you learn to trust that power again.
